Kudos to Mrs. Kezia Banu, teacher/author, and Marc John Bumagat, student/illustrator, for sharing their exciting children's book with our school titled, A Bunch of Animals.

It was a fun day of sharing as Mrs. Banu read to the students aloud and participated in an interview together with Marc Bumagat as Mrs. Mendoza, our awesome Librarian, led a Q&A session.

Overall, the love of reading should inspire others to read or write their own story. Congratulations on a job well done🤩

Volleyball Team Action

April 12, 2025

Congratulations to our awesome volleyball team and coaches for capturing two exciting matches vs. iLearn Academy and Tamuning ES during the Elementary Volleyball Tournament held at Okkodo HS.

The student athletes showed incredible teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship in their first action of the season. They played their best during both matches and gave it their all on the court. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the parents, supporters, FES administration and faculty, and the tournament organizers for a great first day. Your support and efforts made this tournament on Day 1 a success.

The tournament will continue on April 26, 2025 at the same venue as FES will compete vs. Price ES in the semi-finals. Come out and show your support for our team.

SPECIAL AUTHOR VISIT🤩📚

A special "Thank You" to Ms. Elaine Powers for sharing her book titled "Guam: Return of the Songs, Guahan: Ritiran Kanta Siha" with our Head Start and Kindergarten students at our school Library as well as our 1st-2nd Grade students via Zoom.

Her background includes being a retired biologist, actor, and singer as well as a passionate conservationist focused on reptiles. Also, Ms. Powers is the author of over 25 science-based children’s stories and scripts.

A fun day for our students indeed!😍

Congratulations to Roxann Namio (5th Grade, Rm. 202 - bottom L) for winning 1st Place in the schoolwide competition and Zian Aggabao (5th Grade, Rm. 201, bottom R) for capturing 2nd Place and being an Alternate(: The competition went 23 rounds before announcing an overall winner.

The winning word? SUFFICE

Slingstone Throwing Presentation @ Tumon

Our WAVE Club advisors and student members had the opportunity to learn about the ancient CHamoru art of slingstone throwing by Senot Roman Dela Cruz and Sinot Vicente Rosario.

Overall, they learned about the historical significance of slingstone in ancient times and how it is tied in CHamoru heritage and traditions. The students were also taught the proper way/steps in throwing a slingstone.

It was fun day and educational one for all to enjoy.(:

5th Annual FADE AWAY from VIOLENCE Kickball Tournament 2024

Congratulations to our awesome student players and coaches for moving on to the ELITE 8 Playoffs by winning their two matches of the day at the GFA Field in Harmon:

Match 1: Win over Talofofo E.S., 2-1 in OT

Match 2: Win over Astumbo E.S., 3-0

The Elite 8 Playoffs will be scheduled on December 14, 2024 from 9am-3pm at the same location. Good luck to our GUIHAN as they will seek to defend their title.

Kudos to our FES Wave Club for participating in the Guam Kids Magazine Launch (CHalan Deskubre) at the Aquarium of Guam today. This magazine's primary focus is on STEM exploration of ideas and activities with children in mind. Members were able to tour the aquarium for free after the event.

Also, a special "Thank You" to our WAVE Club advisors and parents/guardians for taking the time out to enjoy this day with the students and to Heidi Ballendorf (Tourism Education Council Executive Director / Guam WAVE Club) and Kyle Madapat (Power 98 Media Celebrity) for hosting this fun filled event (: 🎉
